Abstract
Asthma, particularly if severe, is an heterogeneous disease including several phenotypes and endotypes. Studying the inflammatory mechanisms underlying the disease, implies finding biomakers able to characterize subgroup of patients. This may lead to identify patients more prone to have good response to specific biologic agents. In this chapter the main role of sputum, blood and exhaled biomarkers in asthma, in the context of a precision medicine approach.File in questo prodotto:
